3) Lock up Your Savings
Once you get yourself into a steady routine where you’re able to start saving some money, the key is to keep it growing. That basically means put it away and forget about it, which is hard in todays touch screen society. Smart phones have made a trip to the ATM to check your balance a thing of the past. One of the best ways to keep your savings saved, is to keep it as inaccessible to yourself as possible. If your only savings account is attached to your checking account, try setting it up so that the savings account is not accessible with your debit card. This makes it less tempting to use. Also, do yourself a favor and stop using your credit cards. Use your debit card so you only buy what you have the money for.
