6) Create a Budget
Creating a budget is easy, sticking to it is hard, if not seemingly impossible. Be realistic when making a budget. There are bills that are going to stay relatively the same month to month like your rent or mortgage, electric, water, etc. Then adjust for the bills that do vary like your cell phone, food, travel or entertainment. When you budget for these expenses, round up a bit, then at the end of the month take any excess budgeted money and set it aside. It’s a good way to start a rainy-day fund for well, just about anything you can think of. Try using a spreadsheet program, seeing all your expenses laid out in front of you can be a great help.
