Camas is the perfect place for water enthusiasts with four nearby lakes and two rivers. Almost nine percent of the population is 65 and older and cost of living is 32 percent over the national average. It’s about three hours south of Seattle and 35 minutes from Portland, Oregon. It has twelve public parks, including Heritage Park, which has a boat launch onto Lacamas Lake. Crown Park has a swimming pool, and Lacamas Park, has extensive trails and barbecue spots. Prune Hill is another interesting feature in Camas. It is an extinct volcano vent and is located in the Boring Lava Field. The Camas Seniors offers a variety of activities to citizens, including cultural and casino bus tours, fitness classes, lunches, and monthly bingo. There are also meal and transportation services.
