The town of Danville has a population of around 16,800, and about 18% of the population is 65 or older. The historic town was founded way back in 1775. Since then, it’s grown into a beautiful small town with tons of amenities to offer retirees. Danville has a cute downtown area that has around 15 restaurants, 25 shops, and a few small local galleries. In summer, Danville residents flock to Pioneer Playhouse, an outdoor theater that presents six plays from June to August. When the weather is nice outside, Danville residents also spend time at the town’s numerous golf courses.
