2) Frank Sinatra
Ol’ blue eyes was another whisky lover. One of the most successful entertainers of the 20th century, he also found enormous popularity as the leader of the Rat Pack during the 1960’s. His entourage—consisting of Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, and Dean Martin—entertained audiences in Las Vegas with their hilarious and irreverent banter, and more often than not, a lot of drinking was involved. Whiskey—neat—was Sinatra’s preferred drink. In fact, such was Sinatra’s love of whiskey that one famous manufacturer created a line of drink exclusively in honor of him, and, he was more than happy to endorse the product. His views on alcohol were predictably what you would expect from a guy like Sinatra: “Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy”.
