SweeTarts are a sweet and sour candy invented by Jeff Sousa in 1962. The candy was created in response to parents’ requests for a less-messy candy using the same basic recipe as the already popular Pixy Stix and Lik-M-Aid candies. They also produce SweeTarts gum as well as several variations of SweeTarts for different holidays. They’ve been a favorite for generations.
